Now is your chance to live, explore, and gain professional development in Brazil!
Cultural Embrace by API organizes internships throughout Brazil for students in a variety of professional fields. We are able to make placements in the following categories in Brazil: Business (economics, administration, accounting, marketing, PR, trade), Law, Education, Hospitality/Tourism, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, and Computer Science. If your field of interest falls within one of those categories, let us know and we can tell you what we have available!
The minimum length for this program is 4 weeks and maximum duration is 6 months. Portuguese or Spanish language skills are useful but not required. Optional Portuguese language lessons are available if desired. Due to recent chances in the Brazilian visa process, all of our participants are now required to travel on a student visa to Brazil. In order to become eligible for this visa, participants are required to take a class at a Brazilian University (unless they are interning within a university department). Most positions pay a small stipend (~US$200/month) to cover the complete cost of the tuition for the required class. CE by API will assist you in the visa process before you leave for Brazil.

The cost of this class is typically covered by pocket money that employers pay interns. If a participant is interning within a university, they will not need to take a class to qualify for this visa. Please contact the Brazlian Embassy or Consulate to check details, or ask your CE by API coordinator. Please note that any visa fees are the responsiblity of the applicant. And, while we want to assist you during the process, ultimately it is your responsibility to ensure that you have obtained the appropriate visa for your work experience. CE by API has no control over the visa process and cannot guarantee that your visa application will be accepted.
Please note once in Brazil, all foreign interns are obligated to visit the Federal Police Department within 30 days and register themselves. Your local representative will assist you and take you to the closest Federal Police department. You must bring two 3"x4" photos, the original visa, copy of all the used pages in the passport including your information page, and USD 120 cash.
Cultural Embrace by API provides English-speaking representation in the United States and Brazil prior to, during, and after your placement.
