Last year thanks to the volunteers, baby sea turtles where released back to the ocean, after more than 10 years missing due to poaching.
Our sea turtle program is starting. This is second year of study. Our Moin beach has 100% of poaching. We patrol every night trying to save as many nests as we can.
Due to the extreme poaching, we patrol every night and mantain a hatchery.
Several poachers have been arrested and we managed to secure one small part of the beach, however there is a lot to be done and we are in urgent need of volunteers.
The beach we protect is 16 kilometers long, so we need a lot of people. If you are interested in volunteer, please write to us and check the volunteering program information.

Our Rescue Center and Sanctuary is a privately owned wildlife rescue facility focusing on the care, rehabilitation and study of Costa Rica wildlife. We work directly with the government receiving confiscated, sick and injured wild animals. All the animals that come to our rescue center receive all the medical attention and love needed. Many can return to the wildlife however those who can't, stay in the center. These animals accomplish a mission in life, they help us in our education programs so that everyone can learn to respect nature. Although we work with the government we do not receive governmental support. We rely on our membership program, private donations, volunteer programs and tours.
