Corfu Donkey Rescue is a rescue shelter for donkeys and other animals, including ponies, cats, and dogs. The center’s founder is Judy Quinn and we started in 2004, when we rescued our first donkey. Since then, we have adopted more than 400 donkeys brought in by people who found them, by owners, and by dealers. Most of these animals are sick, injured, or old; hence, we aim to provide them a happy and safe retirement as well as the chance to recover, to feel secure, and to trust humans.
If you share our goal of caring for donkeys and other animals, join our volunteer program. Everyday duties include food preparation, grooming, cleaning and feeding, pasture hygiene, and cleaning stalls, among many others. You might deal with clinical tasks as well - such as cleaning, bandaging, and monitoring improvement of donkeys with hoof injuries and administering special medications.
You can also help us by adopting a donkey. Contact us to get more information on this matter.
