  • Description

    Coral Lodge On-site Operation Management for a small 7 bungalow quality eco-lodge dive resort on Panama's Caribbean coast near the San Blas Islands.
    The candidate must be able to work in an isolated location. Requires managing logistics, supervising and motivating staff, selling and organizing various tours and activities for clients, supervising the house keeping, grounds, maintenance and restaurant staff, attending to guest in the restaurants and bar, some bookkeeping and lots of maintenance. In a small hotel one has to do a little of everything. A "hands on" management position ideal for an active, hard working and reliable individuals with a love of nature and adventure. An adequate level of Spanish is a must. Couples with appropriate skills and experience would be considered.

    This position is also responsible for the dive operation at the Coral Lodge. The position involves full responsibility for the dive shop, care and maintenance of equipment as well as care and maintenance of the lodge's boats. The candidate must be able to captain small boats and run dive excursions. The candidate must also be prepared to help out with other activities and tours offered by the resort when diving isn't required.

  • Qualifications

    - Certified current PADI Dive Master or equivalent
    - Pleasant outgoing personality
    - Guest service experience and love to serve.
    - Mechanical proficiency
    - Experience with boats and ocean conditions.
    - Proficient in English and Spanish
    - Good organizational and personnel management skills
    - Experience with repairs and maintenance to dive equipment
    - Multitasking personality

    Beneficial experience but not required:
    Restaurant, cooking, bar service experience
    Agriculture knowledge
    Environmental impact and mitigation

    The salary would depend on the candidate's experience and qualifications. The position would receive gratuities as well as service and performance incentives. All candidates should specify their salary expectation apart from basic living expenses which the lodge would cover. The position includes 4 weeks vacation per year.
