  • Description

Experience the trip of a lifetime, while helping to protect the treasures of Machu Picchu Santuary in Peru. The nonprofit Conservation Volunteers International Program organizes groups of volunteers who travel to Machu Picchu to help repair Inca trails, remove unwanted vegetation and plant trees. Visit one of the Seven New Wonders of the World, assist local park rangers, and enjoy the camaraderie of other volunteers. Many visitors to Machu Picchu only see it for a few hours. Rather than simply being a tourist, our volunteers get to learn about the local culture by working with local park rangers. They build friendships and demonstrate their support for protecting these international treasures.

  • Highlights

Conservation VIP's volunteer expedition to Machu Picchu combines volunteer work with educational tours of Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley and Cusco.

  • Conservation Volunteers International Program's Mission Statement

We are dedicated to conservation and preservation of some of the world's greatest landscapes and cultural sites. We accomplish this mission by providing opportunities for ordinary citizens to get their hands dirty doing extraordinary volunteer services. We engage others - local park rangers and managers, local government, other non-profits, businesses, academia, and others - in our work. Working together, we repair trails, restore archaeological sites, replant vegetation, protect fish and wildlife, encourage community support, and learn from each other. We make a difference in our world!
