The Teach Argentina program offers participants the amazing opportunity to gain TEFL teaching experience, enjoy Argentina’s elegant culture and improve their Spanish speaking skills!

Our placements are varied and spread out throughout Argentina. Depending on the demand during a particular semester, most participants will be placed in Mar del Plata, Bariloche, Tandil, Puerto Madryn, San Martín de los Andes, El Calafate, San Luis, Rosario and others. The priority is to place participants where they are needed.

Program Placement Fee

Given our Teaching English Program is not supported by external funding, if you apply up to 3 months ahead of the program official start date, a USD 1.325 program placement fee will be charged and payable only upon acceptance of a placement offer.

This fee covers a variety of services that Connecting Worlds provides to the participant:

* Screening of the best teaching opportunities for our participants.
* Accommodation included during the orientation in Buenos Aires.
* Argentine Sim Card.
* Airport transfer upon arrival in Buenos Aires.
* Transfer from orientation venue to host town/city.
* Experienced in-country coordinators to provide support and services during your stay.
* Home-stay accommodation with an Argentine host family throughout duration of placement.
* In-country orientation and training.
* Pre-departure information to ensure you are prepared for your trip including recommendations to be sure you are properly equipped.
* 24-hour in country emergency support services via the CW Mar del Plata office.

Program Duration

All Teaching English programs involve a minimum five-month/one semester commitment. Connecting Worlds does offer ten-month (two semesters), and one-year programs as well. Participants in the first semester programs will depart mid-February and can return mid-July. Second semester participants will depart for Argentina end of July and can return mid-December.

For all programs, the participant’s teaching term will be prefaced by an in-country orientation and training session.

1) Is this program right for me?
Ideal applicants for this Teaching English program will have a genuine motivation in teaching and integrating into your local Argentinean community. This is not the best program for participants whose main priority is to travel or to make money.

Teach in Argentina applicants must be proactive, flexible, responsible, mature, adventurous and highly committed. Participants should be comfortable with simple and basic accommodations. Due to the challenges of the Teaching English program, mental and physical health is very important. Successful participants should also have access to sufficient funds in order to cover personal expenditures throughout the duration of their stay.

2) What is the process to apply to be an English Teacher?
- Read through the details of the program and make sure that it is a good fit for you! This program is very rewarding, but certainly has its challenges.

- Health Report Form

- Candidate Photos: These photos can be you by yourself, or with your family or friends. These photos will be sent to your host families prior to your arrival, so make sure that they are appropriate and show us a bit of your personality.
- University Transcript
- TESL, TESOL, TEFL, CELTA Degrees (if applicable)
- Two reference letters. One at least must be written by a teacher. Additional reference letters are encouraged.
- Copy of the details page of your passport including your name, birth date, photograph, etc
- Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the program end date.

Important: Make sure you have collected all the items before you submit your application. CW can only submit your application if the information is completed.

Admission:

- CW will send a confirmation email upon reception of your complete application
- Application processing usually takes a week, after which we will contact you to provide feedback. If you qualify for the program, we will schedule a video Skype interview with you.
- You will be notified of our decision regarding your participation in the program within three working days following the interview.
- Upon acceptance into the program, you will receive instructions regarding fees.

Placement

- Once you have complied with all the requirements CW will begin the search for an appropriate internship by matching your profile with suitable schools.
- You will make insurance and flight arrangements.
- Most placement details are sent 14 days before program start date so as to allow contact with your coordinator and host family. In the case of placements finalized during our summer months these details may not be available until later.
- Connecting Worlds manages a wide network of schools across the country and only accepts the number of applicants for whom there are openings.
