Opportunities exist in business consulting, microfinance, teaching / mentoring, economic research, and emerging market entrepreneurship. Specific micro-finance projects include setting up a pilot micro-lending program, developing micro-franchise opportunities for budding entrepreneurs in disadvantaged communities, assessing the portfolio-at-risk for microfinance institutions, evaluating the impact of international cooperation on local development projects, assessing the impact of community-based interventions, mentoring rising entrepreneurs, and developing export strategies for Barcelona-based entrepreneurs.

And there are as many fascinating museums and Medieval Gothic churches as there at top restaurants and clubs. Barcelona is alive with activity and lives up to its reputation as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe.

Stepping outside the city limits there are countless areas to visit in the rest of the Catalonia region. Just a short distance away you can visit the monumental city of Giron - which has less tourist traffic than Barcelona, but offers just as much in the way of festivals, cultural activities and restaurants. Or why not visit Figueres and spend the day exploring the Theatre Museu Gala Salvador Dali or soak up the Mediterranean in Sitges and the Costa Daurada?

Based on your specific interests and goals, we will find a unique opportunity that best meets your needs. Spanish is not a requirement for all programs and supplemental Spanish lessons are offered to all program participants.
