Description

We are in contact with several leading design agencies in and around Barcelona and can facilitate a wide range of new media as well as traditional design internships. As an intern in this industry, your work will prepare you for the future as you obtain the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to continue to be successful long after your program ends. Design opportunities range from interior and graphic design to product design and landscape architecture.

In addition, we are in touch with several production companies, documentary makers and a community television channel and opportunities range from being of assistance during filming to post production and editing.

We can also facilitate a wide range of photography and visual arts internships with newspapers, photography studios and agencies in Barcelona. Opportunities may also exist to document the work of local non-profit organizations or act as a photographer's assistant.

With amazing artwork virtually everywhere you look, a rich cultural history and a nightlife that has a reputation as being one of the best in the world, Barcelona truly has something for everyone! The city offers everything from urban parks to bustling business sectors, to world-famous works of art and some of the most amazing architecture in the world! And there are as many fascinating museums and Medieval Gothic churches as there at top restaurants and clubs. Barcelona is alive with activity and lives up to its reputation as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe.

Stepping outside the city limits there are countless areas to visit in the rest of the Catalonia region. Just a short distance away you can visit the monumental city of Giron - which has less tourist traffic than Barcelona, but offers just as much in the way of festivals, cultural activities and restaurants. Or why not visit Figueres and spend the day exploring the Theatre Museu Gala Salvador Dali or soak up the Mediterranean in Sitges and the Costa Daurada?

Based on your specific interests and goals, we will find a unique opportunity that best meets your needs. Spanish is not a requirement for all programs and supplemental Spanish lessons are offered to all program participants.
