Concordia is a small not-for-profit charity committed to community development and cultural exchange through international volunteering. Our International Volunteer Program offers young people the opportunity to join an international team of volunteers working on community based projects in over 40 countries worldwide. The projects differ enormously ranging from nature conservation, restoration, archaeology and construction to projects that are more socially based including work with adults and children with special needs, teaching or organizing youth/children's holiday schemes.
Projects last for 2-4 weeks with the main season from June to September though spring and winter projects do also take place. Volunteers pay a subscription fee of 6-10 GBP, a project fee of 75-80 GBP for our standard program in Eastern/Western Europe, N. America and Japan and 125 GBP for projects in Latin America, Africa and South-East Asia. They also fund their own travel. Board and accommodation is free of charge.
Generally no specific skills or experience necessary although real motivation and commitment to the project are a must.
