China: Beijing, Chengdu, Guiyang and 7 other cities

Length of Position: 10 months

Description

You will teach reading, writing, listening and speaking for c. 16 hours per week to university students with little or no supervision. Some students will be fluent and some will have very poor spoken English. In most cases you will also develop your own curriculum. Our Intensive Summer TEFL/TESL Institute will help prepare you for teaching. Semesters are usually 18 weeks long. We place applicants in universities and colleges through China from the largest to the smallest cities depending on one's academic background.

Highlights

Everyone gets 6-8 weeks off paid vacation in January and February. Most of our teachers travel throughout China while also exploring Southeast Asia. You will also get other Chinese and western holidays during the year so there is a lot of travel time involved in the program
