Come intern abroad in Argentina for 3 to 12 months and acquire valuable teaching experience in both formal and non formal education. You will become a member of a host family and extended community as well as have the opportunity to travel the country, all while improving your command of the Spanish language.
Your internship experience will focus on facilitating English learning among locals in three different ways:
* Assist at educational institutions located across the country
Help develop a sense of authenticity in the classroom by bringing living aspects of your culture in the manner of workshops and projects. Work cooperatively with qualified teachers who will guide and supervise your work.
* Join our team of camp counselors in our unique English Immersion Camps, mainly addressed to children and teenagers.
Our camps re-enact life in an English speaking community, giving Argentinean students the chance to practice English in context through a full immersion approach in a retreat that usually last three days. Camp Counselors design and run themed programs which revolve around historical or contemporary events, the mythology and traditions of English-speaking countries. Dances, songs, sports, games, foods, crafts and rituals make up a unique cultural event, with the staff of Camp Counselors acting as MCs. Design an intricate Murder Mystery in Victorian England; stage a Medieval camp, lead a group of "49ers" in their search for gold in California; or even help your agency find evil Dr Doomsday at the end of a Spy Camp, just to mention a few of our themes!
