Cologne University of Applied Sciences (until August 31, 2015) is now called Technische Hochschule (TH) Köln – University of Applied Sciences. Established in 1971, it is a higher education school in Cologne, Germany created by merging several smaller colleges, including the Royal Provincial Trade School - which was founded in 1833. With over 25,000 students, TH Köln is the country’s largest university of applied sciences (based on the student population).
We consider our institution as a University of Technology, Arts, and Sciences, with activities aimed at technological and cultural breakthroughs of high social importance. We offer over 90 degree programs, which students can enroll in full time or, in some cases, as part-time or career-integrated programs. Our subject range includes Applied Natural Sciences; Culture; Computer Science; Information and Communication; and other fields of study encompassing 11 faculties.
