We are an institution that has experienced tremendous changes in our brief 31-year history.  From our founding, as Clayton Junior College is 1969 and the elevation to senior college status as Clayton State College in 1986, we progressed to state university status in 1996. During this period, the dedication and efforts of many have brought numerous successes to Clayton State. We are now a state university of over 4465 students who are enrolled in an appropriate array of certificate, associate, and baccalaureate programs.
