CIS English School offers classes to adults 18 years and older with a focus on individuals involved in the social movement, women struggling for self-determination, and those who are unable to attend other language schools due to financial constraints. Classes are maintained at an affordable price with need-based half-scholarships available. We offer all levels of English instruction, from beginner to conversational. We use a methodology based on communication and participatory techniques. Classroom activities, materials, and discussion include social content. Classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 5pm to 6:45pm, with a 10-minute break. Classes typically have between seven and 12 students each, for a total of about 60 students in every session. We hold special activities, such as potlucks or article discussions, on Wednesday evenings. We hold four sessions a year, with each session lasting between nine and 10 weeks.
