    The Summer Russian Area Studies program aims to help students gain a greater understanding of Russian politics, history, business, and culture. Students can also begin or continue their Russian language studies. Built by Peter the Great as a "Window to the West" and christened "The Cradle of the Great October Socialist Revolution," St. Petersburg serves as a perfect proving ground for a deeper understanding of the intriguing complexities of Russia's past and present.
