    The program goals are to provide students with an opportunity to study at one of Brazil's premier institutions of higher education. The Liberal Arts program in Rio is aimed at those students that have reached a sufficient level of Portuguese or level of fluency in Spanish to enroll in the myriad of university courses taught in Portuguese. This program enables students from a wide array of academic disciplines to contribute to their understanding of Latin American and Brazilian society, and apply this new understanding to their courses of study at their home institutions.
