    Looking for a break between graduating high school and starting your first year in college? Consider participating in a Gap Year program, where you can grow and change into the person you want to be with help from CIEE and an experience in cultural and language immersion.

    Gap Year Abroad in Santiago, DR with CIEE offers college-bound high school graduates an opportunity to acquire a broader global perspective, foster independence, and gain self-knowledge. The program offers accelerated Spanish language growth through classes and immersion into the Dominican community, the opportunity to live with a host family, and experience abroad participating in organized volunteer work in the local community. Included in the CIEE program are day and weekend excursions of cultural and historical importance that will provide an important dimension to understanding the Dominican culture.

    You can split your year as well with CIEE! Learn the merengue in the Dominican Republic and the flamenco in Spain on the CIEE Dominican Republic + Spain Duo program.
