  • Description

The Christian Language Study Center (CLSC), formerly called the Interchurch Language School (ILS), is an ecumenical institution catering to the language needs of a wide variety of students.

It was opened on August 1, 1961 by five founding mission boards --the United Church of Christ in the Philippines, the United Methodist Church, the Southern Baptist Convention, the Philippine Episcopal Mission, and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

In 1972 English became part of the curriculum.

In 1981, the School was incorporated as a non-stock, non-profit corporation and registered under the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). It is likewise accredited with the Commission on Immigration and Deportation (CID).
