  • Description

Founded in 1926, China Institute advances a deeper understanding of China through programs in education, culture, business and art in the belief that cross-cultural understanding strengthens our global community. China Institute's Summer Study in China program provides a select group of high school students a unique opportunity to receive intensive Chinese language training while immersing themselves in Chinese language, culture and society. The program has been running for six years. The length of the program is six weeks.

The students live at home with their Chinese host families, go to school for their daily Chinese language classes, go out on excursions with their fellow American students and their Chinese host siblings, and interact with leaders and members of local as well as international communities.
