Chaminade University of Honolulu is a private, coeducational university. It is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. A Catholic university, it was established in 1955 by the Society of Mary (Marianists), a Catholic order dedicated to the education of leaders.
