  • Description

    Faith-based volunteer opportunities are available in dozens of areas such as AIDS ministry, child care, counseling, teaching and education, community organizing, environmental service, health care and hospital ministry, migrant worker ministry, peace and justice advocacy, prison ministry, church ministry, social work, soup kitchens, and many more.

  • Qualifications

    Our 200 member programs each have a variety of qualifications desired for their program. While all of our member programs are faith-based, they do not all require their volunteers to be Catholic or Christian. Applications for the programs are completed and submitted with each organization, not through CNVS.

  • Salary/Pay

    Each of our member programs offer different levels of benefits. However, almost all provide housing, health insurance, and a small living stipend. Many also provide opportunities for an AmeriCorps Education Award and loan deferral.

Catholic Volunteer Network supports and enhances the work of its membership by providing training and resources, networking opportunities, and national advocacy.
