Founded in 1963, Casa Thomas Jefferson (CTJ) is a non-profit organization and powerhouse language center that teaches English in Brazil. We started out as a library and then, expanded into an English language teaching institute. Now, we are currently the biggest Binational Center in the country, with around 17,000 students and more than 250 teachers. We have Thomas Online - a distance learning operation, six branches, numerous on-site government and corporate programs, and outposts at private high schools and elementary schools.
As a Binational Center, we have strong ties to the United States Department of State. The primary pillars of our operation include quality language instruction, cultural programs, and US-study orientation.
Whether you are a student looking to study in the US or a native English speaker wishing to work abroad, contact us for assistance on your application process.
