Casa Kreyenberg offers accommodations in Valparaiso, Chile.

The B&B Casa Kreyenberg is a house situated in the patrimonial area of ValparaÌso, in a serene neighborhood with a privileged view. It has been visited by many tourists from all over the world. Near the house you will find some of the best restaurants of the city, three famous viewpoints and three elevators, typical of our harbor city.

Walking along Avenida Alemania you will get to Camogli Viewpoint and to "La Sebastiana", the famous house-museum of the great poet, Pablo Neruda. From our house you can walk to the the plain of ValparaÌso where you can visit the harbor, take a trip in a boat and see the city. And if you enjoy the nightlife, the house is near the best pubs and discos in the city.

We have 4 rooms: they have view of the bay and shared bathrooms.

A double or single room (1st floor), a double, a twin or triple (2nd floor), and a mixed 6 beds dorm (2nd floor). There is one bathroom with shower on the first floor and two bathrooms (one with shower) on the second floor, there is hot water all day.

The Kreyenbergs, originally from Riga, Letonia, were a couple who came from Germany around 1820. They lived in Calle Montealegre in Cerro Alegre, until around 1940, when this house was commisioned by Mr. Herbert Kreyenberg and built by Mr. Brunt the architect. Mr. Kreyenberg and his sister Gertrud lived here until their death. Many memories of this house have been preserved by the owners, such as furniture and the photographs Mr. Herbert Kreyenberg took of ValparaÌso and its surroundings, when he took trips to the beach or went to the country with his friends, at the beginning of the 20th century.

The Kreyenberg house tells the story of a family of immigrants who, like many others, fell in love with ValparaÌso and decided to stay in this charming and beautiful city. We invite you to visit our harbor city as these immigrants did and found their home.

Location

From Valparaíso Bus Station you have 3 choices:

Option 1: Take the bus nr. 607 at Chacabuco (the street behind the bus station) and get off at Plazuela San Luis, Cerro Alegre. Then walk half a block along Avenida Alemania. Bus $350 aprox.

Option 2:Take a taxi. This choice costs around $3000.

Option 3: Take any bus that goes to "Puerto" at Avenida Pedro Montt, get off at Bellavista (there's a Lider Supermarket), walk through Plaza AnÌbal Pinto and take a "colectivo" ($259) or a taxi ($800) at Calle Almirante Montt. Get off at Plazuela San Luis and walk half a block along Avenida Alemania.
