This activity-packed one-month gap expedition is ideal for volunteers who are keen to take on a challenge and support this very special community project alongside other international volunteers. This programme gives you the chance to live as part of a Khmer community and work on ongoing projects to improve the standard of living for the villagers. Current projects involve supporting an orphanage, construction, teaching and sustainable farming initiatives. Camp Cambodia also has a strong cultural and historical element, with trips to ancient temples, the killing fields and Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. For those wishing to volunteer for longer than one month, this programme is ideally combined with Camp Borneo for the ultimate Asian gap year volunteering experience.

A camps International volunteer is an open minded person who likes to work as part of a team. The typical volunteer will have researched our products well and understand that volunteering with camps is a different experience to other companies. As part of any of our programs volunteers will be immersed into local culture and be ready to take part in a huge variety of projects. The volunteer must be very hands on and willing to work hard both physically and mentally. There is plenty of time for relaxing at weekends and during the evenings there must be a willingness to take part in cultural activities and experiment with new ideas and foods.
