Description

The volunteer will:

* Help in the control of the lion fish
* Monitoring the status of the coral reef
* Taking data about the coral growth
* Help in the cleaning beaches of Portovelo and submarine cleaning up
* Educate the local fisherman about the project

We request that the volunteers have an Advanced open water level, but we can also trained them before they start the program in our diving center with an extra cost; and the reason is because they need to have a good buoyancy control in order to don't affect the corals in the nursery or in the National Park fragile coral areas.

Typical Volunteer

Young people that are very interested in scuba diving and have an ecological conscience. They want to do a lot of dives in the area, to visit new places and go far into the park but also do something for the conservation of the area, and they want to feel that they are not only traveling around but also supporting the conservation of the area and given the locals a chance to improve their quality of life.
