  • Description

    Under the supervision of a communal employee, a group of volunteers from different countries will take part in the restoration of some small walls in the centre of the village of Marcy, using traditional methods. Thus, it will be mainly masonry and stonework.

    Possible free time activities:
    * Visit of Lyon and Villefranche sur Saone.
    * Vineyards discovery activities: visits of explorations and cellars.
    * Hiking in the valley of Azergue, the Monts du Beaujolais or the Dombes.
    * Visit of medieval villages such as Oingt, Chatillon dAzergues, or Anse.
    * Swimming at the lake of Villefranche. Sport: football, hikes, tennis, swimming.

    Located in the Rhone department, close to the cities of Villefranche sur Saone and Lyon, Marcy is a village of approximately 600 inhabitants, at the very heart of the country of the golden stones (Le Pays des Pierres Dorees) and of Beaujolais (famous French wine).
