  • Description

    The project is organized in collaboration with the welfare center in Hai Duong province, 50 km from Hanoi. The welfare center was established in 1982 in Haiduong City. There are around 1000 children coming from many different parts of Hai Duong province. The children in the center are from a poor background, disadvantaged, disabled and orphans.

    The volunteers are expected to help the children in the welfare center with their daily tasks like cleaning the bedrooms and the school yard. The volunteers can also join drawing classes, teach them some basic things about their countries, health, English and other languages, and can organize some leisure activities for the children and youth after school. Volunteers can also join some activities (teaching English, organizing games) with the children in the Hanah Kindergarten nearby the center.

    There is an extra fee of 150 Euro for participation in this workcamp, intended to support the hosting organization.

  • Qualifications

    It is important for the volunteers to be flexible and prepared to work in a different social and cultural environment. They are expected to be motivated and to participate actively.
