It is with the intention to preserve its architectural heritage that the municipality hosted its first international workcamp in 2000. Thanks to the enthusiasm of the volunteers and the many contacts with the population, the municipality wishes to renew the project.

Guided by two or three local people, volunteers will participate in the restoration of stairs and walls around the stadium, according to traditional methods.

Possible free time activities: Visit of Lyon and Villefranche sur Saône. Discovering the vineyards activity: visits of exploitations and cellars. Hiking in the valley of Azergue, the Monts du Beaujolais or the Dombes. Visit of medieval villages such as Oingt, Châtillon dAzergues, or Anse. Swimming at the lake of Villefranche. Sport: football, hikes, tennis, swimming... Participation in the festivities of July 14.

Located at the south of the Monts du Beaujolais, 40 km from Lyon, Pommiers is part of the most important places for Beaujolais wine growing. The municipality is also attentive to preserve its historical heritage.
