The host of this volunteer project is an association of local fishermen who live on a very beautiful island called "Isla Venados" (Deer Island) at the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica. They work together to promote a better quality of life for the people who live on the Island. One of the most important projects they have is to improve the local school. A group of international volunteers is invited to participate together with local people in this project.
International volunteers and local people will paint an artistic mural in the local school on the island. They will also help to paint some parts of the school, and will participate in cleaning campaigns on the local beaches with the students of the school.
