  • Description

    The local host is an institution which has as a main objective the promotion of multicultural cooperation. They want to host an international volunteer project in order to promote intercultultural exchange among the volunteers and the local youngsters of the city. The participants in the project will organize interesting and nice activities promoting interaction with the youngsters through cultural, sports and social activities, which can also benefit the local inhabitants of the region.

    The volunteers will help in the reforestation of a specific area inside the local university, as well as with the creation of special accesses for youngsters that use wheelchairs in the university. The volunteers will also help in the restoration and cleaning of historical monuments, will help to paint a house that is used as asylum and will help in the organization of workshops on intercultural learning with local youngsters. There are also activities planned in a local archaeological area in the surroundings of La Piedad city.

    The project takes place in La Piedad city, located in the north-west of the Mexican state of Michoacan.
