  • Description

    The Regional Park of Lavino Hot Springs is managed by the Scafa Council. The Park has a huge archaeological, historical and environmental importance thanks to its peculiar hot springs, the old mineral caves, the canals and the 600 years old water mill.

    * Two volunteer groups will be working in the Park this summer.
    * During the first project, volunteers will build up small bridges and clean up paths. Wooden signs will also be prepared.
    * During the second project, the wall face of the old mill will be cleaned and a restoration work on the milling machine will be carried out. Volunteers will also help with cleaning up the garden.
    * At the end of each project, there will be a conference about the campaign Save the Art, in order to present the work carried out by the volunteers.
    * During each project, the volunteers will be involved in fireproof activities day in collaboration with the Scafa, Lettomanoppello and Roccamorice civil protection team.

    Scafa is located in Abruzzo, Centre of Italy. Pescara and Rome are the nearest international airports.
