  • Description

    The project takes place in Wenchang, located in the Northeast of Hainan Island, about 70 km from the main city Haikou. Wenchang town consist of a closely related community with a rich culture. This is a teaching project with children with special needs. The project is with a duration of one month.

    The project tasks include developing friendship between the participants and the local students and teachers, teaching English to local students, learning Chinese and local language, participating in some sport games with the students. The students are mute and deaf, but they can dance and draw, and you can also learn a lot from them.
    The project is an opportunity for the children to meet friends from other parts of the world and expand their horizons.
    Activities during the weekend will be going to the beach near Wenchang, visiting the cultural temples, etc.

    There is an extra fee of 3.000 RMB (about USD 420 US) for participation in this project, intended to support the hosting organization.

  • Qualifications

    Interest in teaching and cultural work. We expect all the volunteers to be open minded, leave prejudice behind and show initiative. Creative ideas for the work, discussions, and the free time are expected to come from the group.
