  • Description

Chickmangalore is situated in the beautiful Kodagu region of Karnataka. It is one of the largest coffee producing regions of the state and boasts of the most extraordinary and hypnotizing landscapes in the region. Chickmangalore is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Karnataka and has one of the very interesting communities with their very own historical background.

The international volunteer project will be focused on rural development projects in small villages around Chickmangalore which have a need of creative educational support and general awareness in the areas of rainwater harvesting, organic farming and health and hygiene in the low farmland holding families of the region. During the project, volunteers can visit the coffee plantations and also take a walk/trek in the reserve forests. The volunteers will be involved in various activities ranging from manual work at the center, creative and entertainment activities in schools and kindergartens, and raising awareness on issues related to education, environment protection, health and hygiene.
