  • Description

    Clube Recreativo de Sao Joaninho is a non profit association founded in 1993. Cultural and sportive progress leaded to the need of creating and developing projects in musical, theatre and folklore areas, which have profound roots in the village. Nevertheless, the Association extended its intervention to themes such as diversity and equality of opportunities, intercultural learning and professional training.

    The project promotes the restoration and increasing the value of the cultural-historical inheritance, the creativity and the innovation, the intercultural dialog and the civilizations alliance. The aims are the mobility and the exchange of young people with different experiences and knowledge, sharing of cultures, religions, traditions, realities and knowledge, and to appeal to the creativity and innovation of young people so that, through the knowledge they are going to acquire, they can build a decorative panel in ceramic tile. During the project, the volunteers will work about 5 hours a day. The tasks to carry out are the research of methods and techniques of decoration with tile, and to decorate a panel of ceramic tiles.

    Free time activities will be also organized for the volunteers. The program will also have a cultural component. The project takes place in Sao Joaninho, Santa Comba Dao.
