The project takes place in Liren village, located about 90 km away from the main city of Haikou on Hainan Island. The village consists of 90 households, a closely related community with a very rich culture. You will experience the farmer's life in this rural China village, as there will be farm stay activities scheduled during the project.

The project activities involve:
- Developing friendship between the participants and the local students, teachers and villagers.
- Doing some farm work with the villagers in the field.
- Helping the villagers with community service projects for betterment of their living environment such as: rebuilding the road or planting some trees, improving the sanitation, etc.
- Teaching English to the children in the village.
- Learning Chinese and local language.
- Taking part in some sport games with the students.
The international volunteer project is an opportunity for the local youths to meet friends from other parts of the world and expand their horizons.
Activities during the weekend will be going to the beach near the village, visiting the cultural temples, etc.
The camp is located in the midst of Liren village, about 90 km away from Haikou, the main city on Hainan Island.
There is an extra fee of 1.500 RMB (about USD 210 US) for two weeks; 3.000 RMB (about USD 420 US) for four weeks for participation in this project, intended to support the hosting organization.
Interest in social and cultural work. We expect all the volunteers to be open minded, leave prejudice behind and show initiative. Creative ideas for the work, discussions, and the free time are expected to come from the group.
