Volunteers will cooperate with the 7th board of Byzantine archives for the excavation of the temple of Saint Theodores in the Vathirema of Agia. Specifically, they will clean the vegetation and stones in the area around the temple in order to facilitate the archeologists in their job.

In parallel, the volunteers will prepare and present educative workshops for 80 children, in the context of the creative workshops that the Municipal Library organizes every Friday. The activities will differ every week and will concern the environment, traditional dances, literature etc.

Agia, home of the homonymous municipality located in the basis of Kissavos, at an altitude of 250 m in the Dotio field and at a 37 km distance from the main town Larissa. Agia is crossed by the current Amyros, while the morphology and the fertility of the area have been the main causes of early development of the area. Agia has also always been in the past a place of intense religious life, as evidenced by the large number of important religious monuments. Today, Agia, has become a modern city, where the apple and cherry trees cover a large area of cultivated land.

Closest international airports are Athens and Thessalonika. The closest train station is Larissa. The project place is connected by bus to Larissa.

There is an extra fee of 30 EUR for participation in this project, intended to support the local host.
