  • Description

Honduras is the perfect place to study wilderness medicine and embark on an unforgettable Central American learning adventure. Whether you're interested in pre-med or a career as a health professional, or simply interested in the outdoors and outdoor survival, this course lays the right foundation. Master skills you never knew you had and engage in eye-opening cultural exchange. Against a backdrop painted with beautiful rivers, ancient Mayan ruins, tropical jungles and flecked with elusive jaguars, spend 80-hours in the field becoming a Wilderness First Responder (WFR). Once certified, put your skills to the test by volunteering in Honduras' public health system.

Earn 3 Health Science credits while also earning your Wilderness First Responder certification from Wilderness Medical Associates. Learn to make an improvised stretcher, stop massive bleeding and carry someone larger than you.
