    Bridge House is a beautiful 'listed' Georgian building, a former station-master's house and was built in approximately 1840. The house has two guest bedrooms: a twin and a double, both with ensuite shower rooms. Each room has TV and tea & coffee making facilities. Bridge House Bed & Breakfast is a non-smoking establishment.

    Bridge House bed & breakfast actively supports Fairtrade whenever possible.

    Walkers and cyclists are most welcome. Bridge House has a large drying room in the basement & a secure area for bicycles. Dales Way walkers can be collected from the route close to Kendal.

    Bridge House Bed & Breakfast specialises in home-made bread and preserves and a full English breakfast every morning. All guests receive complimentary Kendal Mint Cake during their stay.

  • Location

    Kendal can be found close to the M6 motorway, Junction 37. From there, take the A684 for about 5.5 miles following the signs for 'Kendal'. As you go under the railway bridge, Bridge House is on your right. Turn left and park on Castle Road directly opposite the house. Please contact us beforehand for more detailed instructions.

    You can also get a train to Oxenholme station on the west coast main line from which there are regular connections to Kendal railway station - which is about 5 minutes walk from Bridge House B&B.
