The Books Hostel offers affordable accommodations in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This accommodation is a different hostel, its purpose is different and its relationship with the hostel guest wants to be different. More than a client, we see the guests as partners and we will do anything to offer them everything as possible in the time they will stay in our city.
The Hostel has a few comfortable rooms in a three storey house, offering security to our guests in a friendly home atmosphere. Originally from the 20th Century, the building is an Art Deco house completely renovated and converted into a modern bed and breakfast with a patio, barbecue, and bar.
Books Hostel is located right in between Lapa and Santa Teresa. We’re near the hustle n’ bustle of Lapa and the calmness of Santa Teresa. Lapa is known as the cradle of bohemian, also famous for its architecture, beginning with its classical arches – built to act as conduit in the times of colonial Brazil and now serve as a signal to the cable cars that climb the hill of Santa Teresa. It is also an absolute reference point for night lovers! One of the hallmarks of this spot is the harmony with which the various musical tribes coexist. Since the 50s called “Montmartre Carioca,” Lapa is where intellectuals, artists, politicians, and especially typical cariocas get together to celebrate the samba, forró, MPB, chorinho, electronic music and rock. In recent years the neighborhood has become established as the second largest destination of foreign tourists in the city, behind only Copacabana.
