Location

For those traveling by train, exit the front of the railway station and turn right. Walk keeping the city walls on your left hand side, go straight ahead at Micklegate Bar traffic lights along Nunnery Lane. Turn right at end of Nunnery Lane onto Bishopthorpe Road.

Walk past the shops, past Jackson's (Salisbury's), up the small bank and turn first right at the Church into Southlands Road. Bishopgarth is 100m on the Right. This is a 10-15minute walk.

For those traveling from the South on the A1. Leave A1 at junction with A64. Take the second York exit from the A64 marked York West. A1036. Head towards the City Centre (approx 2 Miles) turn right at traffic lights( opposite the Kwik-Fit garage) into Scarcroft Road. At the end of the road turn right into Bishopthorpe Road, then first right at the Church into Southlands Road. Bishopgarth is 100m on the Right.

For those traveling from the North, Harrogate or A1. Follow the A59 towards the City and turn right into Dalton Terrace immediately after crossing the iron railway bridge, at the next traffic lights turn left into The Mount and 1st right at traffic lights(opposite the Kwik-Fit garage) into Scarcroft Road. At the end of the road turn right into Bishopthorpe Road, then first right at the Church into Southlands Road. Bishopgarth is 100m on the Right.
