Birthright Armenia has partnered with dozens of existing internship organizations and study abroad programs to give young diasporans a unique and personal immersion experience in Armenia. These organizations and programs plan each volunteer's jobsite or community service placement, Birthright Armenia does the rest. Through its complementary services and financial incentives, Birthright Armenia offers each and every participant the means and opportunity to experience Armenia like never before.
Travel Fellowship - One of the attractive and beneficial elements that Birthright Armenia offers eligible candidates is a travel fellowship to and from your country of residence. This incentive is offered once per person, and covers the travel fare, applicable taxes, and booking fees.
Host Family Living Arrangements - The experience of living with a host family provides volunteers with the opportunity to understand first hand and up close family life in Armenia. It gives volunteers a unique chance to spend quality time with host siblings and parents at home or outside, sharing past experiences during tea, discussing the workday around dinner, or opening up about future hopes and aspirations during an evening stroll.
Excursions - Birthright Armenia-organized weekly excursions seek a similar balance between the commonplace site and the rarely visited, between ancient man-made architecture, and the pristine waterfall, from the remote host families in Shushi to the campsite fires. At Birthright Armenia, we take pride in every component of our services, planning meticulously for discovery and adventure, make our trips special experiences for our participants.
Armenian Language Classes - Our in-office language classes are custom designed to help and encourage volunteers from all backgrounds improve their Armenian language skills in a significant way.
Forum Lecture Series - Interested in finding out how a successful medium to large size modern business operates in Armenia? Want to get the facts on the environment or the economy? How about sitting in on a practice of a world renown youth choir? All these and much more can be achieved by means of our own custom-designed series of presentations.
* Participants must be of Armenian heritage (at least one grandparent).
* Participants must be between the ages of 20 and 32 years.
* Participants must have graduated high school.
* Participants shall not have previously received a travel fellowship from Birthright Armenia.
* Former citizens of Armenia are only eligible if they can prove by official documentation that they left Armenia before the age of 12.

Birthright Armenia is a non-profit organization, incorporated in the United States of America, with its operations based in Armenia. It was established with the primary goal of attracting a large number of young Armenian adults, aged 20-32, to Armenia by providing those interested in volunteering in the homeland with the opportunity to do so. Birthright Armenia offers travel fellowships, language instruction, lectures, host family living arrangements and excursions in exchange for volunteer internship service to those participants of existing organizations offering youth experiences in Armenia.
