A friendly environment and beautiful surroundings await students who choose Murdoch University. Situated where the wide Swan River enters the Pacific Ocean, Murdoch has easy access to both the cosmopolitan environment of Perth, the capitol city of Western Australia, and the port city of Fremantle, with its sidewalk cafes and street performers. Participants enroll in regular university courses and live on campus in the Student Village with Australian and other international students. Fields of study include Aboriginal and Asian studies, biological and environmental studies, marine science, business, communication and media studies, creative writing, economics, history, literature, psychology, sociology, women's studies, and more.
Students can choose from over 400 courses, provided they meet all pre-requisites. The International Office at Murdoch provides excellent support and organizes excursions to the Australian Outback.
Eligibility Requirements: Juniors & Seniors; qualified Sophomores considered; 3.0 GPA or higher.
Murdoch University is especially known for excellence in the fields of Biological and Environmental Sciences, Asian Studies, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, and Communication Studies. Murdoch is also highly multicultural. Out of nearly 12,000 students, over 1500 are international students. Murdoch also prides itself on its beautiful campus, winning a design award for its architecture.
