BEST's Volunteer and Train in Spanish NGO Program will arrange for you to obtain work experience in your professional field in one of Spain's many non-profit organizations. So, if you would like to fuse your need to make a contribution to society with a training internship in the administration of a Spanish NGO, then this is the program you are looking for. You will perfect your Spanish skills while you begin to build your career - and make a difference socially!

First we will prep you in our 2 week intensive orientation Spanish course. You will acquire a strong basis and become accustomed to Spain. These classes commence the first Monday of every month in our centrally located, full-equipped language school in Madrid or Barcelona - maximum 8 students per class! Your schedule will give you time to participate in the optional organized cultural, sport and social activities with students from all over the world.

Then, you will begin your part time volunteer internship in one of the divisions of a Spanish humanitarian organization such as: press department, logistics, projects, legal, fund raising, volunteer recruitment, psychology, documentation, etc. Placements are available all over Spain: Madrid, Barcelona, San Sebastian, Granada, Cadiz, Bilbao, La Coruna, Valencia, etc.

Qualifications

You must be 18 years of age and have education and/or experience in your professional area. Intermediate Spanish is required and an outgoing and energetic personality is an asset. Ability to make a 2 to 3 month commitment.
