BCA Study Abroad in Rome, Italy
Description
As participants in the BCA Study Abroad semester program in Rome, students become part of the dynamic contemporary life and rich history of this remarkable city. Our program offers opportunities to learn the Italian language, study with both scholars and local people in a variety of settings, and to broaden cultural interests and knowledge in an attempt to understand the world and the roots and evolution of Western civilization.
The BCA Rome program is affiliated with the Scudit Scuola d'Italiano, a school of Italian language and culture for international students. Scudit's teaching approach is based on understanding students' needs and their individual learning styles. The class numbers are small, so each student receives attention from the instructor.

The BCA Rome resident director, Tom Govero, says to students, "Once you experience a semester in Rome, you will never be the same. Few cities are like Rome. We can peel away the layers of Rome to reveal its art, architecture, and culture. It is a city to discover, a city of surprises on every corner, and a city that will not disappoint any taste, interest, or passion. With 3,000 years of history in which every period left a footprint, Rome is not only a horizontal urban spread but also reveals itself in underground wonders and hidden, out-of-the-way corners. At no time in its history has Rome not been a center of art, architecture and artistic marvels."
