BCA summer students get a taste of living abroad and earn credits while enjoying the pleasures of summer in exciting destinations. Lasting between two and four weeks, BCA's summer programs are great for students who want to experience another culture by living abroad but are not able to commit to a longer period of study.
Cultural and Language Study

BCA's summer programs are offered in English but still provide full immersion in the culture and language of the host country. In most cases, students take one to two courses from a set curriculum that focuses on language and culture.

Highlights

Learn Arabic (use of English in instruction is at the discretion of the instructor) in Morocco - one of the world's most secure and stable Arab-speaking countries. As a BCA Tetouan student, you will attend the Dar Loughat Cross-Cultural Language Center, which offers intensive Arabic courses at a variety of levels.

This small language school enrolls students from all over the world and employs faculty with extensive experience teaching Arabic to foreign students. In addition to learning Arabic, you will also take a two-credit Moroccan culture course that emphasizes an Islamic perspective on human rights. Included in this course are volunteer work and three or more hours of cultural activities each week.

Excursions to villages and to exciting sites like Tangiers will round out your experience in beautiful Tetouan, which is located on the Mediterranean and surrounded by mountains.
