* Work with the staff to figure out why this website is currently not online.
* Read through the entire existing website and learn what language the website has been coded in and understand how it was created.
* Update content in website to include accomplishments, future goals and new statistical information.
* Add new pictures of projects, endangered animals and the team out at work sites.
* Add new features to the website. This part of the project would need to be discussed with the staff working at the organization to learn what they would like and assess the timeline in which you can complete the task.
* Create a summary report that is kept at the office so that the next volunteer at this placement understands what was completed and future ideas for the website.
Although the Arusha branch of the organization is fairly small, they still facilitate many important projects for the area. They can only afford to support one full-time staff and a part-time assistant. The two staff at this organization are responsible for completing: all administration tasks, maintaining existing projects, project development, communication with the main branch in Dar es Salaam, field work and community awareness projects. The workload for these two individuals is far to high and therefore volunteer assistance would be greatly appreciated.
This organization could really use the time of a volunteer to help update their website. Currently, the website is not online, however, they do have one but it is out of date. This organization could really use a volunteer who has an understanding in basic coding and has an idea of how to build a framework so that future coders could help assist with updates to the website.
This organization can not afford to pay to outsource for ongoing IT support. Therefore if someone would be willing to help them with this it would be greatly appreciated as the organization depends on the information that is on the website to share their projects and environmental impacts to people outside of Arusha.
In order to volunteer with this organization you must have a background in basic programming and web design. You must be able to work independently and have completed a few web design projects in the past.

We believe international volunteering promotes cross-cultural learning that helps create global awareness, understanding between cultures and provides the platform for positive change. Our volunteers have taught in schools, provided disaster relief support for the International Red Cross, conducted essential research to improve the management strategies of threatened environments, built homes for impoverished people, provided vocational training and programs for street kids and have worked in co-operation with hundreds of local organizations to distribute aid and improve the quality of life for people throughout Asia, Africa and Latin America.
