  • Description

Teach English, interact and play with the children, read in the library. Administratively, an English curriculum is needed.

Help to teach other subjects such as Math or Science. Create teaching resources to use within the school. The school could also use some TLC such as paint, murals, posters, etc. Currently, one of the rooms in the school serves as both an office and school. A great project would be to build a separate room which would function as the office.

This village school is very much in need of native English speaking teachers. It is in a more rural setting just outside the core of Kathmandu. Most children are underprivileged and come from farming and brick factory worker families and have little exposure to intermediate English. They are very appreciative of international volunteers that take the time to help out in their little school. Furthermore, there has been an observed tendency that the local people are much more inclined to send their children to the school, when there are foreign volunteers placed there.
