  • Highlights

The MAB medicare center is responsible for providing quality health care to the people of Nyamekye and its neighboring communities. The hospital offers a number of services including a general medical ward, maternity and outreach services; health promotion talks to schools, community groups and outreach programs to other commun ities that do not have a medical center in their community. As a result doctor volunteers would be vital in advising on various consultations as well as outreach programs.

MAB medicare center play an important role in the Ghanaian Health Care System. They provide medical attention to individuals who may not otherwise be able to access health care because they cannot afford to travel to other city or afford the hospital fees. Also, because the doctors and nurses are seen around the communities frequently, the people from the other communities feel more comfortable talking to them and are more likely to share all of their symptoms with the doctors. This makes diagnose and treatment more effective.

The MAB medicare center is in need of volunteers all year round as the demand for extra assistance is very high. Volunteers who are trained doctors are needed at this placement because currently even though there are a number of doctors at the center that that are fully trained as doctors,we still need a lot more doctors such as volunteers. As a result, due to the inadequateness of doctors this few doctors completely over work and it would really help increase their ability to assist patients if a qualified doctor volunteer comes to our aid.

Doctors who are willing to volunteer their time are needed to help with patient care, work with the nurses and doctors to provide consultations and are needed to help with public health outreach programs are greatly needed.

This hospital is in need of enthusiastic doctor volunteers as they are under-staffed and would really benefit from having extra people to help provide better care.
