  • Highlights

Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos (NPH) is a world-wide organization that helps abandoned children. In 1954 an American, Father William Wasson, began the organization in Mexico by rescuing 8 children from jail for stealing money in a chapel to buy their food. To date, NPH has helped over 15,000 children in eight countries in Central and South America.
NPH's objective is to provide children in need with the attention, love and time they need to lead happy, healthy lives. It is also their goal to provide children with basic necessities such as education, food, clothing and medical attention so that they may grow up to be responsible, contributing members of their societies and able to support a family of their own.

NPH is a community of people and volunteers willing to give their time and knowledge to help raise responsible citizens. Children of all ages are welcome to this little community, some have been abandoned others have lost one or both of their parents and have no one to take care of them. Most of them bring with them emotional and physical scars that begin to heal when they come to this big and caring family.

They need volunteers to reforest the land and to help construct a nature reserve within the property. They are planning to bring animals from Ometepe Island and set them free on their land so that they can reproduce. They will need assistance in tree and crop planting.
During the rainy season they plant different produce such as beans, corn, etc.
