As an Art Therapist at the Autism Awareness Care and Training Center you will be a vital component to their team of professionals and caregivers. During your time here you will be asked to share your knowledge of Art Therapy with the staff and caregivers. You will also be asked to work one-on-one with the students to develop their creative processes and understanding. Group art sessions can also be developed that will teach the children new ways to express themselves.
These activities can help autistic children gain social, and communication skills that are necessary for everyday functioning.

Part of the center's funding comes from creating artwork and then selling it to the public. Interested volunteers could help with the creating of artwork to be sold.
